St. Paul police are asking for community help after finding flyers with “racially motivated biases” in the Merriam Park neighborhood on Oct. 2.
Officers met with a resident on the 1600 block of Sherburne Ave. on Oct. 2 to collect the flyers lying on the street, according to a written statement from the St. Paul police.
“What we’re asking the public is to keep reporting it — if you have any flyers posted on your property or vehicle, to call the police,” St. Paul police Public Information Sergeant Toy Vixayvong said.
Officers also recovered flyers with “hate speech” from the 400 block of Fry St. that same afternoon.
They have since responded to Cleveland Avenue between Roblyn & Carroll avenues, Feronia Avenue between Prior & Lynhurst avenues, the 2000 block of St. Anthony Ave. and St. Anthony Avenue between Dewey Street & Prior Avenue.
“We ask that if residents find more of these flyers, please file an online police report,” Officer Alyssa Arcand wrote in a statement.
The following map shows locations that St. Paul police has responded to collect flyers:

“Unfortunately that’s all we have right now; we don’t have any leads, but if anybody has cameras, like Ring cameras, that would capture anything, we definitely would be interested,” Vixayvong said.
