The University of St. Thomas football team lost to the University of Northern Iowa Saturday 17-10. The Tommies are now 0-2, and it’s the first time coach Glenn Caruso has started a season with two losses in his career as a head coach.
Tommie volleyball went 3-0 over the weekend and won their Tommie Invitational tournament with a win over Northern Illinois Saturday. Junior Tezra Rudzitis recorded 17 kills against the Huskies. The Tommies take the court on Tuesday against 18th ranked University of Minnesota.
The Minnesota Vikings are starting the season in the win column due to a 28-6 victory over the New York Giants Sunday afternoon. Quarterback Sam Darnold completed his first twelve passes as a Viking and threw two touchdowns.
