The University of St. Thomas hockey team opened their season with a two-game sweep against post university over the weekend. They finished 7-0 on Saturday, September 20 and 6-1 Sunday in Connecticut. sophomore forward rylee bartz scored three goals against the eagles over both games. This Friday, they’re heading to Missouri to face off against Lindenwood University.

The Vikings beat the Cincinnati Bengals 48-10 on Sunday, September 21 at U.S. Bank Stadium, putting them in second place in the national football conference just under the Packers. The Vikings swept the first and third quarter, with the Bengals scoring the final touchdown of the night in the fourth. The Vikings will play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, September 28 at 8:30 a.m.

Tommie women’s golf bounced back for its best round of the lady paladin invitational on Sunday morning at the furman university golf course. The toms shot 297 on the final day and 907 across the three rounds for a tie in 15th place with Daytona state. Kathryn VanArragon was the highest placing Tommie, she finished in 21st place, one stroke over par for the competition.
