Sophomore quarterback Tak Tateoka threw 221 yards and 2 touchdowns Saturday afternoon in the Tommies 42 to 14 win over Valparaiso in Indiana.

Saturday’s victory puts the Tommies at a 3-0 in the Pioneer Football League tied with Dayton and still behind 4-0 Drake

The Minnesota Lynx played in the WNBA championship last night and lost 67 to 62 by the New York Liberty in game 5 during overtime.

Minnesota’s coach Cheryl Reeve said the WNBA championship was “stolen from the Lynx” during her complaints about the officiating.

The Minnesota Vikings were the only undefeated team in the NFC before their 31 to 29 loss  to the Detroit Lions yesterday.

Lions’ kicker, Jake Bates, clinched their victory by kicking a 44- yard field goal with only 15 seconds left in the game.
