Yesterday, St. Thomas announced that the Women’s Hockey head coach Joel Johnson has resigned. Bethany Brausen, the assistant coach, will now act as interim head coach for the team. The Women’s hockey team is set to compete in a series this weekend against number 1 Wisconsin at Labahn Arena in Madison.
The Central Collegiate Hockey Association awarded junior Cooper Gay of the St. Thomas men’s hockey team the honor of Forward of the Week. This is the first time in his career to receive the honor. The St. Thomas Men’s hockey team is taking their first real road trip of the season to compete against the Bemidji State Beavers this weekend. They will face off in a series spanning Friday and Saturday.
Tomorrow, St. Thomas women’s basketball is headed to Rochester, Michigan to face the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. They have an overall season record of three to two so far and are currently undefeated at home. They will return to Schoenecker Arena for three home games in a row following their time in Michigan.
