The New York Jets have officially parted ways with 41-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers after a disappointing two-year stint. The team is moving in a new direction under gm Darren Mougey and coach Aaron Glenn, leaving Rodgers’ future in the NFL uncertain.

The Minnesota Timberwolves had three starters missing from their game against NBA-leading Oklahoma City on Thursday night, with center Rudy Gobert joining the injured group with lower-back spasms in his first absence of the season.

Bayern Munich looks set to survive the new Champions League playoffs round. Bayern got high-class strikes from Michael Olise and Harry Kane in a 2-1 win at Scottish Champion Celtic. the return game is Tuesday in Munich.
