Tuesday is the first presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump. The event begins at 8 p.m. central time and will be held at Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center. There will be no live audience or opening statement, and each candidate will have two minutes to deliver closing statements.
Ukraine struck the Moscow region with its biggest drone attack. A woman was killed in the attack, officials said. Russian air defenses shot down 20 drones around Moscow and almost 150 nationwide, according to the Defense Ministry. Russia has hit Ukraine with thousands of missile and drones in the last two-and-a-half years and Ukraine says it has a right to strike back.
