A serial Peeping Tom, who was spotted looking into University of St. Thomas students’ off-campus houses in 2015, was released Oct. 8 on a $300,000 bond.
The man, John David Searle, 55, has over a dozen convictions for crimes related to invasion of privacy since 1995, according to Minnesota court records.
Public Safety has no reason to believe Searle is planning to come to St. Thomas’ campus, according to Assistant Director of Public Safety Fimon. Regardless, he said it’s important for people to be on alert.

After the video’s release, scores of political appointees within the Pentagon began posting images of Hegseth emblazoned with the words “Stand. Fight. Defend the Republic.”
It would seem difficult to miss a 15,000-pound (6,804-kilogram) baby, but for months scientists who study rare whales did just that, and now they couldn’t be happier.
Researchers in Canada captured images of an unidentified baby North Atlantic right whale, one of the rarest sea mammals in the world, off Anticosti Island in Quebec in September.
