A Delta Air Lines jet coming from Minneapolis, flipped on its roof while landing Monday at Toronto’s Pearson Airport. The airport’s chief executive said all 80 people on board survived and those hurt had relatively minor injuries.

Snow blown by winds gusting to 40 mph swirled when the flight attempted to land Monday afternoon. Communications between the tower and pilot were normal on approach and it’s still not clear what went so wrong when the plane touched down.

Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya says the militant group will release six living Israeli hostages on Saturday and the bodies of four others on Thursday, a surprise increase that apparently comes in return for Israel allowing mobile homes and construction equipment into the Gaza Strip.

The six are the last living hostages set to be freed under the ceasefire’s first phase. The warring sides have yet to negotiate the second and more difficult phase, which includes the release of dozens of hostages in exchange for a lasting ceasefire.

A Wednesday hearing in the prosecution of New York City Mayor Eric Adams was set by the judge presiding over the case. He ordered lawyers to explain why the Justice Department asked to dismiss corruption charges.

Judge Dale E. Ho in Manhattan set the hearing in a written order Tuesday as his first response to the government’s Friday request to dismiss the charges after a weeklong clash among government lawyers.
