Men’s basketball sophomore guard Nolan Minessale, who entered the transfer portal April 10, announced his next stop Tuesday on Instagram: Marquette.
The Brookfield, Wisconsin native grew up just west of Milwaukee and is an alumnus of Marquette University High School.
“We are happy to welcome Nolan home and add him to our program,” Marquette coach Shaka Smart said in a press release Tuesday. “He possesses a variety of winning traits as a player and person, including his contagious competitiveness, basketball IQ, and ability to make those around him better.”
Minessale was announced as one of 30 Lou Henson Mid-Major Player of the Year Finalists on March 13. The award is given to “the top mid-major player in division I college basketball.”
The six-foot-five guard led the Tommies with 19.8 points per game this past season, starting all 34 games. The sophomore was also named as a member of the First Team All-Summit League for the 2025-26 season.
