St. Thomas men’s golf continued its late-season surge with a second straight top-five finish, placing fifth in a competitive 13-team field at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, hosted by Penn State at the university golf course.
The Tommies placed three golfers in the top 10, led by senior Owen Rexing and senior Mason Roloff, who tied for third at two-under-par. Junior Gavin Newkirk added a top-10 finish, tying for 10th at one-over.
The Tommies and Colorado College baseball teams played the longest game in summit league history, lasting 21 innings before the Tommies fell 8-7.
St. Thomas then bounced back and took the second game of the day 11-3.
