St. Thomas and The University of South Dakota could not shake the net thursday afternoon with a 0-0 draw for their first in-conference game of the season at South Field. St. Thomas struggled offensively, only recording four shots throughout the entire game. South Dakota created more chances but was also unsuccessful.
St. Thomas volleyball team dropped its first conference match 3-1 to North Dakota State Thursday at Schoenecker Arena. St. Thomas lost the first set 25-21, won the second 28-26 and lost the remaining two sets.
The Marlins push The Twins to brink of elimination with 8-6 win in 13 innings. The Twins (82-77) have lost six of their last eight and now trail the Tigers and Royals by three games in the race for the last two AL wild card spots. They would be eliminated with one more loss or one victory by Detroit and Kansas City.
